What we do
ESGNexus is an independent editorial platform covering ESG disclosure, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability across Sri Lanka’s corporate sector — listed companies, large private corporates, and state-owned enterprises. We report on what companies disclose, assess it against recognised frameworks, and track the policies reshaping corporate reporting: SLFRS S1 & S2, the GRI Standards, the CBSL Sustainable Finance Roadmap, and SEC governance rules.
How we work
Our standard is simple and non-negotiable: every claim is traceable to a source, cited with its scope and year. We report what companies disclose; we do not invent precision. Where a company has not disclosed something, we say so — because “not disclosed” is itself a finding, and a useful one. We hold praise to the same evidential standard as criticism.
We assess disclosure completeness against a published methodology, not against opinion. Our grading measures how fully a company discloses against the applicable standard — not whether we admire its strategy — and every assessment is anchored to a page reference in the company’s own public reporting.
Independence is the point
ESGNexus is editorially independent. Our coverage, our assessments, and our methodology are not for sale. Sponsored content, where it appears, is clearly labelled and never influences editorial judgement. This is not a policy footnote — it is the reason our work is worth reading.
Who we write for
We write for the people who make and scrutinise corporate sustainability decisions: board members and senior executives, sustainability and finance professionals, regulators and standard-setters, investors, and the institutions shaping Sri Lanka’s disclosure landscape.
What we are building
ESGNexus began publishing in 2026, as mandatory sustainability reporting arrived for Sri Lanka’s largest listed companies. Our company profiles are live now. They form the foundation of the ESGNexus Sustainability Index — a structured, comparable record of corporate ESG disclosure, in development and built to be checked.
